School History

1973:

Bible Baptist School was founded by members of Bible Baptist Church. The school opened with 84 students in grades 1-8.

1974:

Kindergarten was added

1978:

The high school was started

1981:

First graduating class

1982:

The new Activities Center with a gym/cafeteria, two classrooms and a science lab was constructed

1993:

An educational wing was added to the Activities Center, housing six large classrooms and an office complex

1994:

BBS received full accreditation

1995:

The third floor was added to Carey Hall, adding five elementary classrooms

2003:

The school was re-accredited

2013:

The name West Shore Christian Academy was adopted.

2017: West Shore Christian Academy joins the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg to form a unified regional Christian School System in the greater Harrisburg area.
