Leading WSCA's lower school is Mrs. Christina Moser. Christina is responsible for overseeing the instruction, staff, and curriculum for PreK 3 through fifth grade. Her experience, leadership, and knowledge of best educational practices having been instrumental in developing a robust program for our lower school students. Prior to joining WSCA, she worked at Messiah College as a College Supervisor, observing and evaluating the field experiences of education students as well as their student teaching experience. In addition, she taught a graduate course in Advanced Instruction Design and Assessment. Christina worked as the Director of Special Education for Commonwealth Connections Academy where she oversaw professional development, ensured compliance of special education services, developed and implemented Response to Instructional Intervention, and monitored the educational status of students with IEPs and 504 plans. Christina’s educational experience also includes three years as an elementary teacher for Commonwealth Connections Academy, time as a Transition Coordinator for The Providence Center School in Providence, Rhode Island, and as a middle school teacher at Daniel Boone Middle School in Birdsboro, PA.
A graduate of Wilkes University, Christina received her Master of Science Degree in Education for Elementary in 2001 and Principal (K-12) in 2009. She completed her teaching certification at Alvernia University in 2000 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University in 1996.
In addition to her 17 years of professional experience in Education and Human Services and 10 years of leadership experience, Chris is a member of the Principal Cohort for Pennsylvania Inspired Leaders (PILS). She also co-planned and presented a workshop on Effective Implementation of Assistive Technology at the University of Scranton, and was part of the Pennsylvania Fellowship Program in 2012-2013.
Chris and her husband, Perry, joined the WSCA community in 2014 with the enrollment of their son, Jacob, and daughter, Olivia. They are members of Daybreak Church where Chris volunteers on the Fish and Loaves Committee and works as a greeter.
